Washington (Colombia County) Archbishop Carol 2026 Chris Palmer was already in Western Virginia for a visit, but now plans to return after the new coaching staff offered it again.
Palmer. 6 feet-1, 180 pounds, they understood the news after meeting their main coach and some of their teammates.
Initially, the mountaineers offered under the previous coaching staff, but jumped into the mixture with corner coach Rod West, leading on the road.
“He said he was enjoying my tape and I love it,” he said.
Western Virginia joins a list of scholarships, which includes Alabama, Oklahoma, Boston College and a number of other programs, but he is not looking to rush into anything as he dial.
Palmer is directed as a strong safety and a wide receiver depending on the schools that recruit it and it is attractive to college programs because of its athleticism and size.
The plan is for him to return to West Virginia to speak more with the West and the rest of the new mountaineers’ coaching staff to get a better idea of how he fits into the photo.
“I plan to visit again,” he said.
Palmer is looking for a good family environment and wants to find a place where he is able to grow on and off the pitch to become the best player and a person possible.
“What would be important to me is a hardworking environment on and outside the field,” he said.
