Danica Patrick was a fierce supporter of Donald Trump during the 2024 election. The former NASCAR star used her celebrity to support Trump and instead criticize those who stood behind Kamala Harris. That penchant for criticizing the other side was evident at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania on Sunday. Danica Patrick took the stage and hinted that she doesn’t have the skeletons in her closet that Harris’ celebrity supporters have.
Public condemnation of Diddy has become a trend among celebrities. The Bad Boy mogul has had relationships with seemingly everyone notable over the past three decades. However, Danica Patrick decided to turn Diddy’s sentencing into a political act. The retired driver drew a parallel between artists who support Harris and those who were close to Diddy. “I’ve never been to a Diddy party,” she claims. “I do this because I love this country. There’s no one who’s been tested more than Donald Trump to show his love for this country.” Danica Patrick then called out one of Harris’ biggest supporters: Cardi B.
Danica Patrick suggests that Harris’ backers were paid off
Cardi B speaks at the Kamala Harris rally on November 1st. The rapper took the stage to call Donald Trump a “fraudster” and praised Harris as an outsider. Fans praised her words, while critics noted that she read her statement while reading from a phone. That’s the point Danica Patrick decided to make during her speech at the rally. She also suggested that people like Cardi and Beyoncé should be paid to show up and give their support to Harris. “I’m talking now. They don’t pay me to be here,” the former driver claimed. “I don’t have a teleprompter. I’m doing it right now, everyone. I don’t need a phone.”
Danica Patrick isn’t the first Trump supporter to unite Harris supporters with Diddy affiliates. Elon Musk was particularly incensed when Eminem introduced Barack Obama at a Harris rally in Detroit. The 8 Mile icon made it clear he was voting for Harris, and Musk responded by making a joke about Diddy at the rapper’s expense. He claims that Eminem is “another member of the Diddy party”. This, of course, led many users to point out that Musk and Diddy were close friends, and that Diddy claimed to have invested $10 million in Musk’s acquisition of Twitter.
