Infuriating clip shows Kentucky coach laughing at Vols player over missed FG – All About Tennessee

The rivalry between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Tennessee Volunteers on the field is pretty entertaining. Well, it’s fun if you love the Vols, as Tennessee is dominating things and they will continue to do so going forward. The 28-18 win at the weekend was the latest blow to their rivals.

While Tennessee celebrated in style, there are still some areas of concern for this team, especially on special teams. We hate to single out a player, but Max Gilbert struggled, missing three field goal attempts in this contest.

Josh Heupel has already bolstered his struggling kicker, but if he’s looking for extra motivation, the Kentucky coach certainly has it. A new clip was posted on social media of the said coach laughing and pointing at Gilbert after one of his misses. Seriously, man?

We can only hope that Mark Stoops sees this video and reminds his team as a whole that the cameras are on them at all times – it’s a pretty bad look for the Wildcats, but hey, guess who got the last laugh after the last one whistle at Neyland Stadium? That would be Tennessee.

Yes, Kentucky made things a lot closer than many of us thought this game would be, but Heupel and Co. they were able to shut things down. Gilbert had a night to forget, but this is a team game and the guys around him raised their game to erase his mistakes.

Against Mississippi State, however, Gilbert needs to find his hitting rhythm as there is a prime-time showdown against Georgia in Week 12. There will be times when Heupel will send Gilbert in for a game-changing shot and he will have to deliver. Heupel is confident Gilbert will get the job done. Vols fans will be ready to praise him when he connects and under pressure.
