New food and drink on the block

Autumn promotions fell on Pizzeria Roca3897 Government St., Baton Rouge. Try the portobello di fritti, made with crispy portobello fries, fresh arugula, homemade oregano vinaigrette and grated Parmesan cheese; drunk goat made with house vodka sauce, mezzi, house Italian sausage, basil and goat cheese or fika pizza made with speck, seasoned fig, gorgonzola white sauce and fig balsamic reduction.

Butcher Everstein7731 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge, is now open for dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday with dishes like bone-in pork chops, seared pork belly, bavette steak and specialty wines.

Patio Party: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14 at Uncle Earl’s, 3753 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge

Uncle Earl’s is hosting a patio party with Sushi Iku, a traveling sushi bar, acoustic singer Zach Day and various drink specials.

Wine with friends: 6:30 pm Friday at Sims Memorial Library, Southeastern Louisiana University, SGA Drive, Hammond

Friends of Sims Library is hosting its 16th annual fundraising event for the Linus A. Sims Memorial Library. The event will feature several wine pairings, food samples, live music and a silent auction. Buddies Bar and Grill will serve as catering for the night.

St. Francisville Food and Wine Festival: from Friday to Sunday at various locations in the city

The annual weekend-long celebration features the culinary culture of Louisiana and Mississippi with award-winning chefs, creative wine pairings, spirits tastings, craft beer, live entertainment and more. Festive cocktails: 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm Friday, November 29, at The Tipsy Librarian, 7450 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge

Get into the holiday spirit by learning how to make three holiday cocktails: Tequila Rosé Holiday Spritz, Cognac Spiced Pear Cashmere Slipper and Pink Squirrel. Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased at thetipsylibrarian.com.
