A shooting in Lemon Valley Sunday night left a young man and woman injured, according to the Reno Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 9455 Sky Vista Parkway shortly after 8 p.m
Upon arrival, officers found a juvenile male with apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital by REMSA. A woman who was also shot was found nearby after trying to get to the hospital on her own. She was also subsequently transported by REMSA to hospital. Both victims are reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation revealed that the juvenile suspect attempted to shoot a male, but missed, inadvertently hitting a bystander. The man then took a gun and shot the juvenile, who was still armed.
Authorities have confirmed that the juvenile is the suspect in the shooting and all parties involved are cooperating with the investigation. Police said there is no ongoing threat to the public.
