BURLINGTON, Va. – No. 23 Vermont (9-2-4, 4-1-1 AE) closes out the regular season Tuesday night by hosting Binghamton (8-6-3, 2-3-1 AE) at 6:00 PM from Virtue Field. With a win, the Catamounts can clinch their first outright America East regular season title since 2017. The action will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Ryan Zimmerman on the call.

INSIDE THE MATCH
- The Bearcats are 2-1-2 in their last five games, entering the final day of America East action in sixth place with seven points. They are two points ahead of UMass Lowell and three points ahead of UAlbany in the race for the final spot in the six-team America East tournament.
- Senior defenseman Luke Yates and sophomore forward Anthony Randazzo have each scored a team-high four goals for the Bearcats this season.
- Vermont and Binghamton have met 24 times since the Bearcats joined the America East in 2002. The Catamounts are currently on a nine-game unbeaten streak against the Bearcats and own a 16-5-3 overall mark in the series.
- Last season, the Catamounts defeated the Bearcats 5-0 at Vestal. Sidney Wathuta, Max Murray, Yaniv Baziniand Zach Barrett scored for Vermont.

Vermont is currently No. 23 in the NCAA RPI following its 2-1 win over UMass Lowell on Friday. The Catamounts are the top-ranked school in the America East, ahead of New Hampshire (No. 48) and Bryant (No. 68). The America East is ranked as the ninth most difficult league among the 22 NCAA Division I conferences sponsoring men’s soccer.

- Vermont’s current hitting percentage of .733 is 17th best in the NCAA.
- The Catamounts offense and depth have come through time and time again this season. UVM has scored 12 goals in the 76th minute or later and nine goals in the 83rd minute or later this year.
- Sidney Wathuta leads team and America East with 10 assists this season. His 10 assists are fourth-best in Division I. His 0.71 assists per game also ranks fourth nationally.
- The Catamounts are +17 in goal differential this season, which ranks first in the America East and is tied for 16th in the NCAA.
GOALKEEPING TANDEM LEADS
- of Vermont Lou Liedtka (4-1-3, .810 Save %) and Niklas Herzeg (5-1-1, .844 save %) have been outstanding this season for the Catamounts. Overall, the Catamounts’ .824 save percentage is fifth best in the NCAA.
- Herzeg was named the America East Rookie of the Week on Monday for the second time this season. He made a career-high seven saves Friday at UMass Lowell.
