LARAMIE — Obi Agbim helped the new-look Wyoming Cowboys start the 2024-25 season with 25 points in a 108-85 win over Concordia-St. Pavel on Monday in Arena-Auditorium.

Agbim finished the game 9 of 16 from the field, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc to lead the Wyoming offense. The 6-foot-3 senior transfer from Fort Lewis College added six assists in 25 minutes.

The up-tempo offensive game may not play to UW’s strengths, but it adapted and ended up using its size and athleticism advantage against the Division II Golden Bears.

Junior post Scotty Ebub added 19 points off the bench with a number of dunks, while Jordan Nesbitt added 11 points and 16 rebounds in 25 minutes.

The Cowboys return to their home field on Sunday to host Tennessee State at 2:00 p.m.
