Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – Emergency officials say seven people were taken to the hospital after an interstate crash involving several vehicles on Monday morning, February 24th.
According to St. George’s Fire Service, nine vehicles and 18-collector participated in the I-10 East crash just before Essen Lane was released.
None of the injuries of the victims of the crash was critical and they are stable, employees confirmed.
The 18-Colle has drawn 50,000 pounds of flour, which is still contained, according to the fire department.
The crash was reported to have happened around 10am in the morning
The road was closed due to the dangers of vehicles and the 18 wheels involved, but the crews worked to quickly open one of the lanes, according to the fire service.
At about 12:00, all lanes are reopened and traffic is moving again to the I-10 east in Essen Lane and a starting ramp from I-10 to the east to Essen Lane.
