Renoittes may consider traveling to Las Vegas, but they do not want to compromise their fitness goals while traveling. Fortunately, there are several places in and around the Las Vegas metropolitan area, where you can exercise for free.
Here are eight places that you can exercise for free in Las Vegas.
Charlie Kellogg and Joe Zoher Sports Complex, located at 7901 W. Washington Ave. Near Summerlin North, it has 11 football fields, a tennis center and a 2.44 miles multifunction track, which is ideal for quick practice or running before studying Las Vegas Las Vegas. If you are traveling with children or pets, the park also has three dogs and two playgrounds.
Long -distance runners and pedestrians will feel at home in Park Bill Bryer, located at 650 N. Tenaya Way near North Summer. The 10 -acre facility has an open space with a walking and jogging path that connects to Kellogg Zoher Park. If you want to add more from Cardio to your workout, you can visit the park’s fitness course, which offers workouts led by staff at 9 o’clock every Tuesday and at 2pm every Friday. If you want to exercise with friends, you can hit one of the four tournament courts in the park.
Children can also enjoy the playground and the water area of the park, ideal for cooling on the hot days of South Nevada.
Palo Verde High School football court
A longtime Las Vegan told RGJ that many locals were performing the footsteps on the Palo Verde High School football field for intensive training. The field is located on 333 Pavilion Center Drive in Summerlin.
For people looking for a walk, not an intense workout, see the 350 E. Galleria Drive Bird Watch Reserve in Henderson. The specialized habitat of 80 acres is home to more than 270 species of birds. There are also Americans with disabilities acting accessible paths that weave through the many reserve ponds.
Reserve hours vary by season. It is open from March to May from 6 to 2 pm, June to August from 6:00 to noon, September to November from 6:00 to 14:00 and December to February from 7am. The last entrance is 30 minutes before that until closed. Admission is free.
Community Center Silverado Ranch, located at the 9855 Gilespie St., not only has a wide variety of classes, but there are also free amenities for people who want to exercise indoors. A tenth larger indoor track is free to use and located inside, ideal for Northern Nevada visitors who may not be used to the heat in Las Vegas, but still want to enter.
The Public Center also offers a free open fitness for everyone at 55 and over. In addition, there is a free gym for children for children less than 5.
If you want to escape to the desert without leaving the city, Pueblo Park offers an easy 3.1 mile system that is enhanced by wildlife. The trail begins on 7663 W. Lake Mead Blvd. and wound to Rampart Boulevard in Summerlin. Popular among locals, the part is a favorite place for retirees, parents and pet owners.
There are also different stops along the path that include benches, playgrounds and exercise equipment for people who want to add more than cardio to their workout or need rest on the way.
This 120 -acre park, located at 7101 N. Buffalo Drive, is home to sand volleyball courts, two tournament courts, football fields, water platforms, jogging and walking paths and many other open space. He also has a dog park for people traveling with their four -legged friends who may need exercise after a long day in the car.
Situated on 1600 Wigwam Parkway, this park has the opportunity to play basketball and volleyball. Cornerstone Park also has an exercise course, exercise stairs and a path around the lake of the park or walking park.
