President Bola Tinubu congratulated the former governor of the State Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai on his 65th birthday, praised his contribution to national development and democracy.
A statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, the special advisor on information and strategy of President Tinubu, described El-Rufai as an excellent administrator, scientist and politician. He praised the ingenuity and splendor of El-Rufai, noting his key role as the founder of the congress of all progressives (APC).
El-Rufai has been the manager of the State of Kaduna for eight years and has previously held positions as Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises and Minister of the Federal Metropolitan Territory (FCT) from 2003 to 2007.
Tinouou emphasized El-Rufai’s efforts to shape APC, in particular his role in the party’s electoral victories in 2015, 2019 and 2023.
The president wished him good health and strength for continuous service to the nation.
