Larendo, Texas (KGNS) – A 61 -year -old man lost his limbs after being hit by a train near Laredo center on Friday morning, January 24th.
Police say this happened shortly before 10 in the morning near Avenue San Bernardo and Motuzuma Street. The reports show that the man tried to get on the train but fell, injuring the lower body severely.
Larendo police spokesman Jose Espinosis said these incidents were unfortunately common.
“We really see a lot of this type of incident, especially with citizens without documents trying to get on these trains,” Espinosa said. “Unfortunately, they are injured and in many cases suffered serious injuries, including cut limbs.”
Police are still clarifying what happened.
