Police received a call to check the welfare around 6:55 in the Welcome Road 3000 block. When officers arrived, they found that a person in the residence was armed. The incident became a barricade situation and the Swat team was called.

Police claim that after a little over an hour of negotiations, the officers were aware that they died minors were at the residence. They made an entry and a woman was found with a self -inflicted firearm, along with three minors.

Neighbors describe the community as close. Plush bears and toy trucks are now sitting in a tribute to the lost life.

“We are a tightly woven community,” a resident said. “We are in a peaceful village, and sometimes we feel neglected.”

On Thursday night, members of the community and those who knew the family gathered a memorial on the threshold of the home.
