Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – Officials with the Baton Rouge Fire Service claim that the family’s home was damaged after a free home fire distributed in theirs.
The firefighters were sent to the fire shortly after 7am on Sunday, February 2, in the 1300 block on Julia Street. They arrived to find strong smoke and flames coming from two houses. Five residents were out when officials arrived.
According to BRFD, the fire began in the free home. The flames spread to the home of families and the two homes suffered significant damage.
The Red Cross helps displaced residents.
The cause of the fire is in the process of investigation.
