Have you ever wanted to participate in planting trees or local cleaning of the neighborhood in February, but you were afraid it would be too frosty or rainy? No need to worry about the weather this weekend (February 8-9).

According to the National Meteorological Service, temperatures are expected to be similar to spring in the upper 70s with a small cloud coverage. Perfect planting of trees and cleaning voluntary time!

Below is a list of four events that you can support this weekend.

1 Birmingham Squadron/Cool Green Trees in Norud

Birmingham squadron fans can spend the afternoon with their beloved player at an event for planting a tree in the Norud community of Birmingham on February 8 from 1:00 pm to 16:00.

The event will be held at the Norwood Community Center (located on 1330 28th Street North in Birmingham) in collaboration with the Buriamant Council and a recreation board.

All fans are invited to attend the event and meet with squadron players, who will also be on the spot on the spot.

Trees Planting Event are organized by cool green trees, a two -year program aimed at fighting climate change in communities living in the city thermal islands, hot spots in our communities leading to health differences and challenges in the field of The environment.

2. Friends of the Avondale Park Working Day

One of the most historical and beautiful Magic City parks needs your help. The Avondale Friends Park has accumulated a working day to cut the overgrown weeds, trees and a brush on the hill near the small statue of Miss Fancy.

Please wear your own paddles, hedging three, saws and other tools on Saturday, February 8th. The work begins at 8:00 am and lasts until 10:00. Volunteers are asked to gather in the statue of Little Miss Fancy on the 40th street.

The Riverkeeper Black Warrior is one of the leading volunteer cleaning organizations in Birmingham. Each week, they partner with local groups and hold events throughout the watershed. Here are the composition of this weekend.
