FORCED TURN
Florida State’s defense has been a workhorse this year. They weren’t elite by any means or even good. However, they are not the reason they are 1-7 on the year.
I know fans like to blame defensive coordinator Adam Fuller. I’m not even suggesting that Fuller should remain on the coaching staff beyond 2024. But his defense isn’t the cause of the embarrassment that unfolded on Saturday.
I have a few concerns about Florida State’s defense. One of them is that they don’t get fouls to turn the football over. It would be nice to see the offense get a short field after a turnover to create some momentum to put pressure on the opposing team.
The Seminoles have forced just three losses this year in eight games. Simply put, this is not good. Florida State has been allowed to get better and force teams to throw interceptions or have fumbles. Why not let that happen this week for the Seminoles?
