3 Mavericks overtime loss to Demar Derozan, Kings – Sports Illustrated

3 Mavericks overtime loss to Demar Derozan, Kings – Sports Illustrated

Dallas Maverix fell into a heavy game on Monday night, losing 129-128 over Sacramento Kings. It was a game that Mavericks could easily win, but they also didn’t have big men accessible after Daniel Guffard left with a knee injury at the beginning of the second quarter. This made a fight, but they were still up with a point by less than ten seconds to go to the overtime and couldn’t stop.

At the moment, the vibrations are not flawless. They are far from it. Fans are thrown away, Maverix governor Patrick Dumont was whistled while leaving the court, and Jason Kid didn’t even give a press conference after the game. Strange things happen in Dallas.

But here are three takes the game itself.

Daniel Gafford left only 65 seconds in the second quarter because of what he looked like the knee hyperex, but initially called the knee spraining. But it was the last available center of Dallas, which is not named Kylor Kelley, which was on a two -way contract. And in a game where Dallas needed every big one, Kelly played only a minute and nineteen seconds. Depending on the severity of Gafford’s injury, Dallas may unfold the “central” rotation of PJ Washington, Kessler Edwards and Olivier-Maxence prosper in the foreseeable future.

Clai Thompson had given the Mavericks 128-127 lead with 9.8 seconds remaining. So, needing a stop to win the game, Jason Kid unfolded a composition of … Kiri Irving, Spencer Dinuidi, Max Christie, Olivier-Maxes Prosper and Kessler Edwards. Edwards, Prosper and Christie are universal defenders, but there will be no Dante Ex and/or Thompson in the game was a curious solution. Demar Derozan went straight to Spencer Dinuidi of isolation and managed to pass through his body, as a double team came to take down the winner in the game. It is difficult to imagine that it happens if the bigger Dante Exum is in the game.

Mavericks are already 28-26 and are still good in the mixture to make at least the game tournament. But vibrations feel catastrophic. The Mavans had the saying “Vibrations are flawless” and they are far from that right now. Fans get, fans who are waking up, another loss of the last second and Jason Kid doesn’t even get on the podium to talk about it … or something big is about to happen, or Dallas is deliberately charged with their value S And it’s disturbing.
