2025 Torbor, excited for the next chapter in West Virginia – Western Virginia Football

Hoover (a.) 2025. Cameron Torber already had a relationship with some of the Western Virginia coaches of their time, who recruited him in Jacksonville.

So, when the program brought him out on an official visit on January 31, it didn’t take him a long time to meet and engage in the mountaineers’ football program.

“Many things made my decision, but I would say as a whole that it just felt right,” he said. “Coaches are great people who I know they want to develop players and young men as well as they want to win.”

Torber was also impressed with how everyone related to the program was really loved by the mountaineers and you can tell how each of them was passionate about their work.

“And how it allows them to work together to achieve common goals,” he said.

The defense assistant Pat Kirkland recruits a forgot during his time with Gamecocks, dating from his senior season, so there is already an established connection, as well as with some of the staff. He also had the chance to meet the defense coordinator Zack Ali and was impressed with him.

“I think they liked my size and talent at the top of my motor and work ethics,” he said.

West Virginia is aimed at 6 feet, 242-pound in the linear player, and he comes out the rather impressive senior campaign, where it was declared a first-team overall condition with 97 equipment, 8 sacks and interception. This is impressive in all circumstances, but especially considering that he has only played football in high school before.

The real freshman will arrive in West Virginia in the summer and will have his entire watch clock.

“I want Western Virginia to know that I wear nothing but the best of me,” he said.
