All-Star Weekend goes to San Francisco this year for the NBA annual showcase in the middle of the season.
There are three nights at court events, underlined by the Rising Stars competition for first and second year players on Friday, Dunk and a 3-point competition on Saturday and All-Star Game on Sunday, which has a new format this year.
Several players from the Dallas region will be presented in the Rising Stars race, and former Texas Tech Mac McClung star is preferred to win their third consecutive immersion competition.
Dallas Maverix will have a representative after all because Kiri Irving was selected as a filling of an Anthony Davis injury. This will be his ninth All-Star game in 14 seasons.

Saturday: NBA All-Star Practice, 13:00 (NBA TV); NBA HBCU Classic, 16:00 (NBA TV); All-Star Saturday Night, 19:00 (TNT and Trutv)
Sunday: NBA All-Star Game, 19:00 (TNT and TRUTV)
All-Star lists
All-Stars are divided into three teams of eight players this year, prepared by TNT Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith analysts. Kevin Hart will be the body on the court.
Chuck’s Global Stars: Denver’s Nikola Jokic, Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama, Indiana’s Pascal Siakam, Houston’s Dengun, New York’s ‘s Trahe Young (Replacement for Milwaukee’s Giannis antetokounmpo, who is injured)
OGS on Shaq: Lobron James of Los Angeles Lakers, Stephen Curry of Golden State, Kiri Erving of Dallas, Boston Jason Tatum and Jelan Brown, Kevin Durant, Damian Los Angeles Clippers.
Kenny’s young stars: Anthony Edwards of Minnesota, New York Jalen Brunson, Jaren Jackson, Jr. of Memphis, Jalen Williams of Oklahoma City, teammates of Cleveland Darius Garland and Evan Magli, Detroit Kadingham and Thaler of Miami Herro.
All-Star Game Format
The NBA has made the All-Star game mini-tournament this year, with four teams playing games up to 40 points. There is no clock (except the shot clock) and no one breaks down.
The fourth team in the tournament will be the one to win the Rising Stars race on Friday. For the purposes of All-Star Game, it will be called Team Candace, in honor of Candace Parker.
Betting
According to Betmgm Sportsbook, Team Shaq is the favorite All-Star of +155, just in front of Team Chuck (+165). Team Kenny is at +375 and Team Candace is on +650.
For the competition for skills, this is Team Cavs (Mitchell and Mobley) as favorites. They are on +200, just further than team spurs (Wembanyama and Chris Paul, +225), Team Warriors (Draymond Green and Moses Moody, +275) and Team Rooks (Zaccharie Riston in Atlanta and Alex Sar 375).
Lillar is the preferred TP to win its third consecutive 3-point competition, with odds +300.
