2 Missouri 18-year-olds killed during the pursuit of a man who abducted a baby, mother-Aol

A man who abducted a 1-year-old baby and was chased by police in southwestern Iowa caused a car accident that killed two teenagers, police say.

Fremont County Sheriff received a report shortly after 6am on Sunday on a hospitalized woman who was experiencing a home attack, the agency said in a news message. The woman told the deputies that a acquaintance had abducted her and her baby through the state -owned line in Nebraska and that he was “suicidal and murderous.”

She said that the man had taken her the baby to Iowa, where he placed her to a hospital in Hamburg before going with the baby.

At one point, servicemen with the State Patrol in Iowa began to strive for the man who was in Kia Sorento in 2023. MPs tried to cross the pursuit when the man began to drive in the wrong sails and speed, the sheriff service said. The man is said to have tried to hit the pursuing MPs with Kia before he drove the vehicle through another state line in Missouri, the agency said.

Shortly thereafter, Kia collided with Ford Ford in 2013 on the Interstate 29 in Missouri in a crash that caused another clash between a half -camion and a chevy tahoe, managed by a deputy Fremont County. The alleged kidnapper, who was driving Kia, was killed, as well as two 18-year-olds from Kerni, Missouri, in Ford Focus, Kmbc-TV reported, citing local law enforcement agencies.

Neither the Sheriff of Fremont County, nor the Missouri highway patrol responded to the United States today to confirm death.

Baby saved by a car on fire

After the car crash, Fremont’s deputy district rescued the baby from the inside in the burning KIA, and the baby was transferred to a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, with dangerous live injuries, the sheriff office said.

It is unclear whether the baby reunited with his mother.

Kerni Mayor Randy has shared his condolences with the families of the killed teenagers, saying their death has “shook our community.”

“It can be courage and we hope to be the unwavering satellites of the two families, friends and all who grieve. Pray for all of you,” he said.

The Kyrni school neighborhood told the Kmbc News that teenagers participating in the crash are a class of 2024, not current students.

“The Kyrni High School team is familiar with this tragic event and the councilors are ready to provide additional guidance and support as needed,” said a district statement received from the television station.

Authorities have not identified suspects in abduction of a deceased or 18-year-olds.
