Baton Rouge, La. (AP)-Rubben Chinello had high careers 19 points to go with 13 rebounds, and # 2 Florida roared back from eight points deficit in the second half to beat the LSU 79-65 on Saturday night.
Thomas Hau scored 16 points, Alia Martin added 14, and Walter Clayton Jr. 13 for Florida (24-3, 11-3 sec), who won their sixth rights.
LSU freshman Robert Miller III scored the highest 19 career points to go with 10 rebounds, and it was the big cause of tigers (14-13, 3-11) to look ready to challenge Florida well in the second half.
Florida moved to 29-15 leads during the starting 13 minutes. But LSU suddenly found its foundation when Curtis Givans III struck 3, causing a stunning 22-2 mileage during the final 6:41 halftime.
Florida joined the leading role for good with 15-2, which gave the Gators 53-48 lead. Chinyelu scored seven points during this blow, including discounts as he was foul.
