18-year-old arrested, charged with rape on LSU-WRBRZ campus

The Baton Rouge-18-year-old, accused of raping a LSU student in his dorm room, was arrested on Monday.

The LSU Police Department said they were called into a northern living room dorm room in the early morning of January 18 for a complaint about sexual assault. Employees found blood -colored sheets of the victim and a used condom covered with blood in the room.

The victim told police that she was left by her friends at a bar in the Tigerland area earlier that evening, and 18-year-old Ali Jafar suggested that she take her home. She said she knew Jafar, but she never saw him outside the bar.

Once in her room, the victim said that Jafar had forced himself to her after she had repeatedly said she did not want to have sex.

Jafar was arrested and reserved for third -degree rape.
