10 injured in training accident at Fallon Air Force Station, near Reno – AOL

Ten U.S. service members were injured in a training accident involving two helicopters at Fallon Air Force Base on Thursday night, police in Reno, Nev., said. Fallon is about 60 miles east of Reno.

All 10 were taken to Reno for treatment. They were flown there in two helicopters that landed at Pickett Park in Reno at 9:15 p.m., police said.

Navy officials told CBS News there were no reports of serious injuries.

Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno told CBS Reno affiliate KTVN-TV that the 10 troopers were being treated there, but did not provide details about their injuries.

A Navy Air Force spokesman said Friday that all 10 have now been released.

A Navy official told CBS News that the training incident involved two MH-60 Sierra helicopters and occurred about 40 miles east of Naval Air Station Fallon.

There is no further information on how the accident happened or the condition of the two helicopters.
