Clarksburg, W.VA. (AP) – One person was taken to hospital after an explosion in the West Virginia neighborhood and nearby homes were evacuated, employees said.
The explosion happened on Sunday in the Cesten Hills Community in Clarksburg, and one person had injuries that were considered life -threatening, staff said in social media post.
Due to the leakage of gas, all residents within a five -block radius were obliged to evacuate, said police in Clarksburg, warning that people should avoid the area “at all costs”.
Residents of this area were not allowed to return on Sunday, said the office of emergency management in Harrison County.
