A man was arrested Saturday afternoon in connection with a shooting in Midtown that left one person dead and three injured.
Around 2 p.m., John Paul Seeger, 42, was taken into custody by Reno SWAT and other law enforcement officers in the 400 block of Cedar Street, Reno police said in a news release.
Seger faces several charges, including open murder, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
A second man is in critical condition at Renown Regional Medical Center. Two others, a man and a woman, are in stable condition, police said.
The Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office will later identify the man who died.

Four people were shot in a shooting early Saturday morning in Midtown.
Just after midnight, Reno police responded to the 700 block of South Virginia Street near St. Lawrence Avenue to a report of shots fired, police said. Officers found four elderly victims with visible gunshot wounds and began rendering medical aid.
All four victims were transported to the “Renault” hospital. Police did not release details on the extent of their injuries.
Police have not identified a suspect in the case, but believe it to be an isolated incident.
