One person was killed and at least three others were injured in Scottsdale, Arizona after a business plane crashed into another plane after landing on Monday.

The Federal Aviation Administration stated that Learjet 35A – owned by Vince Neil of the Mötley Crüe group – diverted from the track when he arrived at a municipal airport in Scotsdale around 14:45, he made contact with the Gulfstream 200 business jet, which was parked in private property, staff said at a press conference.

A spokesman at the airport said the left -wing main equipment of Neil’s jet failed when landing. Neil was not aboard the plane, according to the spokesman of the singer who left Austin, Texas.

The first responders visited five patients, according to Captain Dave Foil at the Scottsdale Fire Service. One man was declared dead on his arrival and three others were transported to a local hospital. One person refused medical treatment, Foil said.

A statement published on social media by Mötley Crüe is said that the killed man is the pilot and that Neil’s girlfriend and her friend are on board and injured. However, this publication was removed and replaced by a statement that did not identify any of the passengers or specify who was killed or wounded. According to this statement, there were four people aboard Neil – two pilots and two passengers.

“More specific details about the collision are not available as this is a rapidly developing situation and there is a continued investigation,” the updated statement said. “The thoughts and prayers of G -N Nail come out to all participating, and he is grateful for the critical help of all the first answers to support today.”

The National Transport Safety Council will take over the investigation.

PGA Tour’s Phoenix Open took place over the weekend in Scotsdale. It is usually one of the most busy times of the year for the airport.

There are no commercial flights or airlines at the airport, but it is home to many corporate aircraft in the region.
