1 dead after strokes with the participation of a pedestrian on New Walkertown Road-WXLV

The pedestrian is dead after hitting Winston-Salem, according to officers at the Winston-Salem police department.

On Friday, around 9:13 pm, employees said they had responded to a reported disaster with a vehicle where a pedestrian was hit. When employees arrived, they found a person lying at the intersection of New Walkertown Road and Waterworks Road with injuries.

Investigators said Honda has been traveling west by New Walkertown Road since 2003. The pedestrian crossed the middle of the intersection when it was struck. The driver then escaped from the stage.

The pedestrian, later identified as a 41-year-old Hadim Mbaye, died at the scene of the scene. The driver of the vehicle, 42-year-old Kevin Johnson, was not injured.

The WSPD (TEU) trafficking department responded to the scene and assumed the investigative responsibility for the crash.

Johnson was accused of the following:

  • Driving while disturbed
  • Driving while the testimony has been canceled
  • A crime strike and run
  • Vehicle

The bond was secured at $ 250,000. His first court appearance was set for Monday.
